For this new classroom block, the architect was looking for a sustainable, easy maintenance natural wood cladding with a rustic aesthetic
When designing a new classroom block at Murupara school, leading local architect Darryl Church was looking for a sustainable natural wood cladding with a rustic aesthetic and easy maintenance.
Abodo Tundra Cladding was a perfect choice, being sourced from the surrounding FSC® certified Kaingaroa forests and naturally durable with no added chemicals.
Both architect and client were delighted with the final finish that incorporates natural features of the timber, reflecting the wild and isolated surrounding environment.
The light coloured Woodsman stain finish allows for a simple maintenance schedule that requires only periodic cleaning and then recoat as required with no sanding or stripping back involved.
