Natural Timber Battens in a Silicate Coating
Natural materials with low embodied energy are definitely the building products of the future.
Natural materials have also been proven to reduce stress and improve ambiance in both residential and commercial buildings. The challenge has always been the maintenance aspect of materials like wood, particularly in exterior feature applications.
This timber batten facade is finished in silicate - our natural wood finish, with a silvery patina effect.
Silicate replicates the natural, weathered wood appearance, while protecting the wood against discolouration.
The silicate's natural silver patina develops over time and requires exposure to weather.
